Teaching for 25 Years

I have been blessed to teach special education for 25 years.  I've worked with some outstanding children and parents.  My current classroom is designed around the principles of effective instruction for children with autism.  While my whole class does not have autism the guiding principles are the best practices for children with significant cognitive delays also.  While I am not formally trained in TEACCH, I have implemented some of their methods with fidelity.  I am very dedicated to my career, but I must expand my interests.  Thus this blog.  My teaching is a part of me.  I hope you will enjoy posts about my classroom too.
